This is a public service announcement to inform the community of planned activity on the lake tonight.
Carp is an invasive species in Copake Lake. They compete with native fish for food and habitat.
To help control the carp population, Captain Bob will be going out tonight, Thursday May 15 around 8:30PM, to fish for them. He shines bright lights into the water to attract the fish to the boat.
