Boater Safety Course now mandatory for everyone
Quick question: When a boat is crossing your path, who has the right of way?
The lake can get quite crowded and it is critical that all boaters understand the “rules of the road”!
All power boaters regardless of age must complete a Boater Safety course and carry the resulting certificate with them while boating. The Sheriff patrols Copake Lake and will fine boaters who cannot produce the certificate.
Qualified courses can be completed online. More information can be found here

Shoreline Cleanup Day is May 31
Copake Lake neighbors are asked to remove debris from the lake and shoreline and place it along Golf Course Road, Lakeview Road, and County Route 7 up to Juliana/Jefferson Drive.
Starting at 10:00 a.m., volunteers will make one pass to pick up debris to dispose of it in the dumpster that will be located at the triangle at the intersection of County Route 7 and Lakeview Road
You are also encouraged to bring lake debris to the dumpster between 9:00 – 12:00 noon.
CLCS will set up an information booth at the triangle. 2025 CLCS merchandise will be for sale – cash or checks only.
