Annual Meeting 2015 Highlights

The CLCS 2015 Annual Meeting took place on July 11, 2015 at the Copake Town Hall. 

Cherie Berk presented Rick Aluisio with the CLCS Recognition Award for his exceptional service and dedication to our lake community (pictured above). Rick has been a devoted CLCS volunteer for many years, and is best known for consistently selling the most tickets to our annual Labor Day Raffle. 

Muriel Muldorf also received an award for her tireless support over many years.

George Knoecklein gave a presentation on current lake conditions.

Other topics of discussion included:

  • ​The need for more volunteers to help in our efforts to maintain Copake Lake.
  • ​The Boating Safety Course which has been very well attended. It will be offered again next May.
  • ​The Education Committee will be compiling information on rain gardens.
  • ​Our CLCS Newsletter was awarded second place for Best Newsletter by the NYSFOLA
  • ​Lake Management Committee reviewed the current weed and algae concerns, and described proposed treatment plan.
